Three Attractions With Virtual Exhibits in Dallas

Dallas is home to an array of attractions, many that can now be enjoyed virtually! Spend a day at the zoo or in the botanical gardens from the comfort of your Dallas apartment with these virtual tours.

Dallas Zoo

If you love seeing animals from around the world, the Dallas Zoo is about five minutes from your Uptown Dallas apartments. Chimpanzees, meerkats, gorillas, tigers, elephants, otters, and more populate the grounds of this beautiful escape. Currently, they offer several virtual programs to engage with their guests online. They have 45-minute virtual presentations of their exotic animals, a "Playful Zoology" at-home learning program, a virtual nature exchange, and the opportunity to send "messages" from zoo animals to friends and family. If you're interested in exploring animals from around the world in an online sphere, the Dallas Zoo has all you need!

Dallas World Aquarium

Only about a mile from our apartments, the Dallas World Aquarium offers a unique experience of animals from all habitats of the world. In addition to the aquarium, they offer detailed pictures and information on animals, birds, crabs, frogs, turtles, and more from Mundo Maya, Orinoco, South Africa, and Borneo. They also have underwater cameras currently following the movements of two of the exhibits: the Cenote Exhibit, which includes a variety of sharks, and the Large Freshwater River Exhibit, which showcases manatees, among other creatures. These animal cams are on 24/7, offering real-life views of the beautiful aquatic creatures that you've always wanted to see.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

If you're looking for nature that includes more than animals, try some of the virtual tours offered by the Dallas Botanical Garden! Nestled in Uptown Dallas just eight miles from our apartments, this gorgeous sanctuary provides virtual tours of their most popular gardens, including the summery Paseo de Flores, the seasonal Jonsson Color Garden, the water-based Lay Family Garden, a Petroglyph Walk, Red Maple Hill, and more. They are also running a regular YouTube program with tips for growing and knowing plants and even offering beautiful photos for you to use to personalize your Zoom background and puzzles of their garden beds for virtual game nights. Wherever your passion lies, you're certain to find something to admire in the beautiful spaces of the Dallas Arboretum.
